I got a SORD M68MX at an auction for 2000 yen.
This blog is a record of my analysis of the M68MX and other SORD products.
The SORD M68MX is a multi-function computer released in May 1985 (according to SORD's company history). 1983 saw the release of the M68, a computer with the MC680000 and Z80, and the M68MX is a cheaper version (with only the MC68000 CPU).
On the back panel, there is just an external FDD port, a printer port, and for some reason separate graphic and text display ports.
These points are very different from the M68, which implements many ports.
The only port I was familiar with was the printer port, and there was no place to plug in a keyboard. The character/graphic output port was neither VGA nor Dsub9pin, but a 25-pin port (DB25pin) in the form used for RS232C.
I didn't know what to do, but I started investigating the pinout anyway.
